WELCOME TO D-108!
Aloha and welcome to second grade! My name is Lori Yee and I am excited to begin a new year of learning and growing together with your child! I was born and raised in Hawaii and enjoy hiking, walking, trying new recipes, and playing with my dog Buddy. I love children and teaching and have been a teacher for 33 years. I believe teaching is important because children are our future leaders, entrepreneurs, and decision makers.
Second grade will be a pivotal year for your child as they learn to become more independent, responsible and caring individuals. We will use TRIBES as a process to build our classroom community, encourage inclusion, and to work together with respect. As we begin the year, I'd like to encourage parents to be involved in your child's learning. Parents, know that I will take every precaution to keep your child safe in class. I am asking that you also keep the health and welfare of our class a priority. So if your child or someone in your immediate family feels sick, please keep your child at home. A strong partnership between school and home is vital to your child's success in school. Please feel free to contact me whenever you have a concern or question. I am here to support both you and your child. I look forward to a wonderful school year!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Yee
